Microsoft Azure offers a variety of certifications to validate your skills and knowledge in cloud computing. The certifications are divided into three levels: Fundamentals, Associate, and Expert.

Fundamentals certifications are designed for individuals who are new to cloud computing or Azure. There are currently four Fundamentals certifications:

  1. Azure Fundamentals
  2. Azure AI Fundamentals
  3. Azure Data Fundamentals
  4. Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals

These certifications validate your basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and Azure services.

Associate certifications are designed for individuals with fundamental knowledge of cloud computing and Azure. There are currently nine Associate certifications:

These certifications validate your skills in specific areas of cloud computing, such as administration, development, DevOps, security, and data.

Expert certifications are designed for individuals with advanced knowledge and experience in cloud computing and Azure. There are currently two Expert certifications:

  1. Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  2. Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

These certifications validate your skills in designing and implementing complex cloud solutions.

Which Azure certification is right for you?

The best Azure certification for you will depend on your current skills and experience, as well as your career goals. If you are new to cloud computing, the Azure Fundamentals certification is a good place to start. Once you have a foundation in cloud computing, you can choose to pursue an Associate certification in the area that interests you most.
